Your boat ride will take you across the pristine waters of the Lagoon in Alankuda which borders the Wilpattu national park and extends towards the sand dunes and Salt Pans in the distance.

The Puttalam Lagoon is home to a range of eco-systems while boating here can be an excellent holiday activity. Gliding through the extensive and dense mangroves, sea grass and salt marshlands, you are bound to be enthralled by the calmness and eeriness of the lagoon that is hidden amidst these diverse range of mangrove forests. Whilst enjoying the native animals and birds that inhabit the area the expert naturalist will guide you and explain in detail about the mangroves in Kalpitiya.
